There are many ways to tend the energy of a space, each from a particular history, worldview, or lineage. Some are simple household practices; others belong to specific ceremonial or cultural lineages and should be approached with humility and care. Plant spirit medicine, like white sage, cedar, sweetgrass, palo santo and the other medicines, belongs to particular lands, peoples, and ceremonial contexts, and is approached with respect for origin rather than used generically. It is the lineages, elders and healers who have built and tended the relationship with the plant spirits that share and exchange the integral teachings of the medicines, and that relationship is ever evolving, not static. Building one’s own relationship with the spirit realm is an open invitation to all, under the guidance of a teacher who has received the teachings in their own right. The specific herb or resin is chosen with awareness of its traditional use, energetic quality, and ethical sourcing. Registered guests may order anything from the Library with no shipping and collect it at the workshop.
